I am proud to announce that The Fifth Season Inn and Suites will be the Headquarters Hotel and official site of the 4th Division Convention. Please begin making your reservations now. Be sure to tell the hotel staff that you are with The American Legion when you make your reservations.
The Fifth Season Inn and Suites is a great hotel that has undergone recent upgrading. It has an in house bar, restaurant and ample meeting space. You will find the large atrium to be quite nice and the entire hotel most accommodating. When they quoted me the room rates, I could not believe it as the rooms are very nice. You will appreciate them. The hotel manager and staff are really working with The American Legion to make this convention special and the room rate is evidence of that. We are blocking about 60 rooms, all in the atrium area, which is the nicest part of the hotel.
The entire convention will take place in the hotel, including the Saturday evening banquet. The Amarillo Post may host a Friday evening social. We'll get more information out later.
Amarillo is an ideal convention city with lots of attractions. You might wish to arrive a day or two early or stay a day or two over in order to take advantage of them. The National Quarter Horse Museum and Hall of Fame, Palo Duro Canyon, The Discovery Center and Panhandle Plains Museum in Canyon are just a few of the opportunities. You will also find the folks in the Panhandle to be most friendly.
